Evelyn Rodriguez Devine

 

Evelyn Rodriguez Devine is a 1985 graduate of Catholic
University and a 1988 law school graduate from Temple (Beasley) School of Law where she was on the National Trial Team and a recipient of Philadelphia Bar Association Trial Advocacy Award.

Ms Devine has over 23 years of experience as a litigator in Pennsylvania’s courtrooms, handling general liability matters from product cases to premises liability. In addition, Ms. Devine has had over twenty years of experience working for the insurance industry. She started her career at Labrum and Doak, an insurance defense firm where she concentrated on all aspects of defense litigation.  In 1992, she was recruited to start up and manage the first staff counsel law firm (Devlin and Devine) for United States Fidelity Group, (later St Paul Insurance Co./Travelers), a national all lines insurance carrier formerly based in Baltimore, MD. As
assistant Manager and Senior Trial Counsel, she handled general commercial litigation and tried numerous jury trials to verdict, both in state and the federal courts of Pa.  From 2006-2010. Ms. Devine also served as claims counsel for Global Indemnity Insurance Company; a commercial lines insurance carrier based in suburban Philadelphia where she managed general commercial litigation across the United States, including Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands. Ms. Devine has experience in claims and risk management, loss prevention, bad faith, and reserving. 

Ms Devine is a member of all Pennsylvania and NJ State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern Districts of
Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a member of the Montgomery Bar Association.  She has received numerous defense and neutral appointments as an Arbitrator in uninsured and underinsured motorist arbitrations.  

Ms. Devine is bilingual and has taught Spanish at Carson Valley Preschool. She resides in Wyndmoor PA (Montgomery
County) with her husband who is also an attorney, and their three children: Morgan, Joey and Ellie.
