Paul Troy recently defended Greyhound Lines, Inc. in a jury trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Negligence was stipulated, and the Plaintiff had undergone rotator cuff surgery following the accident. There were over $300,000.00 in claimed economic damages, and the lowest settlement demand before trial was $300,000.00. Numerous issues about the Plaintiff’s credibility were developed during the trial such that the jury ultimately returned a verdict of only $10,000.00.
