In a recent trial in Philadelphia County, Paul Troy successfully defended a psychiatrist where the allegation was that a patient committed suicide several days after his discharge from an inpatient psychiatric facility.
There was also an allegation that medication changes made during the hospitalization were not appropriate.
A Philadelphia jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the defendant psychiatrist finding no negligence.
