Abigail, “Abby” joined Kane, Pugh, Knoell, Troy & Kramer LLP upon graduation from Penn State Dickinson Law School. Prior to joining Kane Pugh as an Associate Attorney, Abby previously served as a law clerk with the firm. Her practice focus is defense litigation in medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and general liability cases.
Abby is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Political Science and History. As an undergraduate, Abby founded the first U.S. Special Olympics chapter at the University of Pittsburgh. In a unique path, Abby gained significant undergraduate legal experience interning for the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, as well as a sole practitioner family law firm, where she assisted with custody, divorce, and protection from abuse matters.
During her law school tenure Abby was a Public Interest Scholar, a member of the Women’s Law Caucus, Vice President of the Criminal Law Society, and Class Representative for the Student Bar Association. Abby was also an elected IOLTA Fellow and spent her 1L year serving indigent clients in eviction, bankruptcy, and domestic violence cases. She was a member of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court.
In her 2L and 3L years Abby interned at a general civil litigation firm representing small businesses and municipalities in commercial transactions and labor and employment matters, as well as private clients in estate matters. Abby is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations. Abby lives in Malvern, Pennsylvania. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, running, cheering for the Philadelphia sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.
