For over twenty years, Mr. Bayer has focused his practice exclusively on defending clients from claims involving professional liability, commercial transportation, municipal defense, bad faith, and commercial disputes. He frequently defends high-exposure claims throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He also regularly consults with clients on claim avoidance and pre-suit claims.
Mr. Bayer frequently teaches legal education programs for risk managers, claims professionals, other lawyers, and law students. He regularly presents on topics including case evaluation, legal ethics, professional liability, commercial transportation, risk, and legal procedure.
He has been honored as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine and Law and Politics in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Both publications previously recognized him as a “Rising Star” from 2007 through 2018. Mr. Bayer is also a court-appointed settlement facilitator and mediator for complex civil cases.
Mr. Bayer is an active member of the Montgomery Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He served as the President of the Montgomery Bar Association in 2023. He is a past President of the Trial Lawyer’s Section of the Montgomery Bar Association, past Chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and past member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Board of Governors. He is also an active member of several Risk, Claims, and civil defense organizations.
Mr. Bayer is a graduate of Lehigh University (2001) and Villanova University School of Law (2004). He is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Superior Court of New Jersey, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Bayer is the firm’s Managing Partner. He resides with his wife, Kelly, and their two sons, George and Thomas, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
