Timothy “Tim” Binns is an Associate Attorney at Kane, Pugh, Knoell, Troy & Kramer LLP. His practice focuses on civil litigation defense, with a concentration in general liability, premises liability, and personal injury matters.
Before entering the legal field full-time, Tim developed a broad professional foundation across the public, private, and institutional sectors, gaining early exposure to litigation support, contract analysis, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment in public sector and private sector environments. Along the way, he accumulated substantial experience advising and guiding clients across a wide spectrum of backgrounds, tailoring his approach to meet each person where they are and working collaboratively to develop strategies and outcomes suited to their needs and circumstances. That foundation, combined with years of leadership and analytical work in demanding institutional settings, shaped the disciplined, strategic instincts he brings to his litigation practice today.
Tim earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, completing the part-time program while working full-time in active legal settings. He graduated with Honor Roll recognition across multiple semesters and received the highest grade in his Pretrial Practice course. In law school, he served on the Student Bar Association’s Legislative Council for three years and held an executive committee role in Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Colorado, and an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies, Cum Laude, from Arapahoe Community College.
Tim is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the National LGBT Bar Association.
Outside the office, Tim is a devoted enthusiast of classic Hollywood film, particularly pre-Code cinema, and pursues an eclectic range of interests including antique hunting and restoration, historic preservation, museum visits, travel, and culinary exploration.
